Samaritan sees man rummaging through trash and invites him for brekkie

A young man was seen rummaging through a dustbin until he was questioned by a stranger.

Asked what his intentions were, the young man explained that he was searching for something to eat.

The Good Samaritan then proceeded to purchase a voucher for the hungry man to enjoy a buffet breakfast.

Once again, the mysterious kind-hearted man is none other than regular philanthropist, BI Phakathi.

Phakathi has been in Cape Town and has recently been blessing random Capetonians who find themselves in challenging financial circumstances.

Phakathi shared the touching interaction between himself and the hungry man on Friday and the post has gone viral.

The young man, identified as Zaheer, revealed to Phakathi that he lives on the streets, but still had the presence of mind to check that the restaurant was halaal – remaining loyal to his Islamic faith.

Phakathi then blesses Zaheer with an amount of money to fund accommodation for a few nights.

Briefly.co.za observed the video after it was shared on Phakathi’s Facebook page and the reaction from impressed South Africans.

Thomas Bjurstrom added, “Helping your brother in need. You're a true Christian. Bless you.”
