- Johann Rupert has called Julius Malema out for spreading lies
- The EFF's Floyd Shivambuwass recently accused of accepting money from the billionaire
- Mzansi social media users reacted to the video with suspicion
Johann Rupert has slammed EFF leader Julius Malema for spreading lies about him. The footage of the billionaire businessman was shared by Twitter user KatlehoMK. In the video, Rupert said:
"If he (Julius Malema) doesn't stop lying about me, I'm going to tell the world that I actually do give him money... All I have to do is lie... Stop lying about me and I won't lie about you."
Mzansi social media users were divided by the statement. Twitter user UnmovedLee said:
"#Rupert has also previously admitted to being willing to unleash his taxi thugs on EFF leadership... this man is an anarchist who relishes black-on-black violence and lives by the apartheid "divide and rule" principle. He's a racist moloi. EFF scares him. He can't control them."
"So basically Johann Rupert admits that receiving money from him is actually a bad thing?"
While NdingumXhosaMf2 said:
"So Floyd Shivambu never met him, let alone asking for money."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu dismissed suggestions that he has a business relationship with Rupert. Shivambu made the statement on Twitter over the weekend. This came after a report which alleged that Rupert and Shivambu had had a business meeting at a Stellenbosch wine estate.
