SA-born dancer, Motsi Mabuse, makes Mzansi proud: Joins UK dance show

Motsi Mabuse, South African-born professional dancer, will be raising the country's flag mighty high when she takes her seat as a judge on the UK's Strictly Come Dancing judging panel.

South African professional dancer, Motsi Mabuse, is making the country proud and representing us in the UK.

The 38-year-old, who already made name for herself on Let's Dance, Germany's version of Strictly Come Dancing, will take a spot on the UK's Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, according to TimesLIVE.

Motsi has been on Let's Dance since 2011 and will be taking awesome knowledge to the UK - a move that is something SA can be proud of.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Motsi was supposed to work in her family's law firm but she had a passion for dancing.

She must be glad she followed her heart instead of her brain in this case. Motsi took to social media to share her excitement about the new opportunity.

"I am absolutely thrilled and overjoyed to be joining the @bbcstrictly judging panel. I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can't wait to get started!"
