Cape Town woman films storm blowing away her furniture and roof

- A Cape Town woman has filmed the effects of the severe weather conditions in the Western Cape recently

On Tuesday, the Mother City was plagued with severe weather conditions. Cold temperatures, strong winds and heavy rains had Capetonians calling for Tuesday to be cancelled.

However, one woman filmed the extent of the damage caused by the storm. Storm Report SA posted the lady's video on its Facebook page.

"Apparently this video was taken in Blouberg today. Other than that we don't have any information as to who took the video. Sources saying this is Louis Geldenhuys' house," the video was captioned.

Briefly.co.za gathered the video shows the storm blowing away the lady's furniture after it had already took off the roof.

"This is a fat f***-up," she is heard saying.

The video sparked quite the reaction, gathering more than 181 000 views in just 17 hours since it was published.

Amanda Terblanche commented: "We live in CT and my family lives in Blouberg and Melkbos. My son is crew at NSRI Melkbos. The wind is hectic out there. This is how it is people."
Lisa Gail Williams added: "Oh My Word.... The weather was shocking yesterday."
Lynette Schoonwinkel wrote: "I stay in Tableview. We had a power-failure a few minutes ago too. Weather is just so bad with extremely strong winds and heavy rain at times. I decided not to drive today and work from home."
