- Ryan Moon has allegedly flown to Europe to try out for a team there
- This followed Hiberninan FC rejecting him despite Moon scoring a goal for the club during his time with them
- Moon was released from the Kaizer Chiefs on 30 June when his three-year contract expired
On Wednesday, Soccer Laduma reported Ryan Moon has jetted off to Europe to try out for teams there.
Modise Sefume, who looks after Moon, reportedly confirmed the 22-year-old travelled overseas to meet up with an unidentified side.
“I can confirm that Ryan flew out to Europe last night but I am at this stage not at liberty to disclose the country or club…” Sefume said.
He added there were local clubs interested in Moon and those he had spoken to are "aware of the status quo".
Soccer Laduma journalist Joe Crann shared the news on Twitter and football fans gave their two cents' worth on Moon's interest in a European team.
Twitter user, @DurbanTpg, commented: "At least he won't have to wear their new kit."
Another tweep, @buda_schesh, added: "I really love this guy @ryan29moon wish him all the best and i hope he secures that European move."
Bongani, who goes by the Twitter handle @Bongani60813541, said: "Apparently not good enough for KC but seemingly good enough for a European team."
Briefly.co.za gathered that in May, the Kaizer Chiefs revealed on Twitter it had decided not to renew Moon's three-year contract.
