Katlego ‘Kat’ Ncala, local beauty queen and presenter, has scooped up her very first international gig - she'll be hosting the Miss Teenager Universe pageant in Guatemala. Kat the first African to do so.
Katlego ‘Kat’ Ncala, lovely young beauty queen and YoTV presenter, has bagged her first international gig and is making history at the same time.
She will be heading to Guatemala in August to host the Miss Teenager Universe pageant. Kat is the first African to score this role in the pageant.
Kat, who - according to TimesLIVE - won the Miss Congeniality, Miss Teen Africa and Miss Teen Earth titles at the Miss Teenager Universe pageant in Mexico in 2018, is very excited.
Kat is so happy about this opportunity that she says it gives her goosebumps.
"I was in pageants myself and for me to now represent the country, not competing, but doing what I love (presenting), that gives me goosebumps."
Briefly.co.za learnt that this kind of gig is something that 19-year-old Kat has wanted since she was much younger.
"I used to do these gigs in my hometown, Thembisa, in the tents where we’d call all the children to come and I’d MC."
Getting this chance has opened Kat's heart to even bigger dreams.
"My dreams are shooting way over. In the future I could possibly host Miss Universe, Miss World, even Miss Teen Nigeria... all those things seem attainable."
Miss Teenager Universe takes place from August 5 to 10 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
