Thug caught on video stealing officer's gun, chases her with it

- A video has surfaced on social media which showed an officer getting robbed of her gun

- The footage showed the thug stealing the officer's firearm from her holster

- Mzansi was not impressed by the video and they were quick to give their two cents' worth

On Tuesday, a video was shared on Intelligence Bureau SA's Facebook page, which showed a thug stealing an officer's gun before chasing her out of the garage convenience store with it.

Briefly.co.za gathered the post stated the incident took place at Delft but several social media users claimed the video was filmed at a garage in Port Elizabeth on Monday.

The video gathered over 131 000 views since it was published on Facebook. Social media users were quick to give their views on the footage, and they were not impressed.

Alvin Tafadzwa commented: "We surely losing the war against crime."
Lusani Ngoma-ye Chalaha Malinga added: "I can imagine running away from your gun!! Anyway, I like his takeoff rather than fighting back. It saved his life."
Reginald Bafana Chabalala wrote: "She's supposed to have a weapon cable with her attached to the belt."
Joachim Jaco Naude said: "South Africa land of opportunities milk and honey."
Ïnzinier Musinga Banda commented: "South Africa is now run by animals."
