Just recently, top American singer, Beyonce, released a music album which she described as a gift to Africa. The album, which is called Lion King: The Gift, featured a number of talented musicians from Africa.

One of the songs which has gained the attention of people all over the world is the track titled 'Brown Skin Girl' featuring Nigerian singer, Wizkid.

Since the song was released, a number of ladies have become more proud of their brown skin as they flaunt it on the internet.

Well, a Nigerian lady identified on Twitter as Maj has sang her own version of the song titled 'Light-skinned Girls'. In the track, the lady praised ladies with lighter skin.

Even though the song has a catchy tune just like the original, the reactions of Twitter users to it have been divided. While some people praised Maj for including them, others slammed her for trying to take the spotlight from brown skin. See some comments below:
