People were for the most part amazed that the officers didn't open fire on their assailants. Have a look at their comments below:

Brent Meyer - On behalf of SAPS, I would like to humbly apologize for this poor service delivery. We encourage our officers to serve and protect the public, but it's Monday... Who else doesn't have Monday blues. Tomorrow we will be back with full effect.
Blessing Masamvu - I bet, this can be the best local movie ever, so the driver of the Avanza managed to open the door and run but forgot to start the vehicle and flee. Blue monday kkkk they chose to run because the avanza is too slow for them.
Moeketsi Tsotetsi - We need to re-educate all SAPS officers on how to use service pistols to protect self and the public
Kurhula Tintwa Qhibi - Bheki Cele once said, "We give you guns to use them and not decorate". But I have a feeling these are those corrupt police officials who always collect bribe money and the people were tired.
