- Juan Mata inspired Manchester United to 1-0 win over Kristiansund in Norway
- The Spaniard converted a last minute penalty which he won to hand the Red Devils the win
- Fans however turned on the attacker blaming him for diving when there seem to be minimal contact
Juan Mata's late minute penalty was all that Manchester United needed to beat Norwegian club side Kristiansund in a preseason friendly in Oslo this week.
The Spaniard won the penalty for the Premier League side in the 90th minute and then carefully put the ball behind the net as they continue their preparation for the coming season in style.
However, some of the Red Devils supporters were not impressed with the former Chelsea man after claiming that he dived to win the spot kick in a game which was heading for a draw.
Want away star Paul Pogba was superb in picking out his teammate before stringing the pass before he rounded the goalkeeper and tumbled to the floor.
Meanwhile, SunSport reports that replays suggested that there was minimal contact with the player, as many feel this is a sign of things to come that they will need soft penalties to win.
Twitter user Isaac said: "Game ends 1-0 to Manchester United after Mata wins and scores in stoppage time. Hate seeing our players dive, even in a friendly. Pathetic."
Another, Zander, added: "Disgraceful dive from Mata. So, so unnecessary especially in a friendly."
And United fan Martin wrote : "Jeez what a shameless dive by Mata."
While Arpan joked: "It took Mata to dive in the 92nd minute vs some third choice goalkeeper of a club that doesn't have a crest when googled for us to win a game. Hahaha."

Former Manchester City midfielder Trevor Sinclair said: "Wow diving to win a last min pen in a friendly! Pre season but that was a tough watch."
Meanwhile, some United fans defended Mata, after launching an attack against former City star Sinclair.
Twitter user Tom came back to Sinclair with: "Was it a dive? No, Did mata make a meal of it? Yes, But if contact is made you are in every right to go down, Stop moaning @trevor8sinclair lol."
Next up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side is a friendly against AC Milan before Chelsea come to Old Trafford for the start of the Premier League season in 12 days' times.
It earlier reported that Juan Mata's late penalty helped Manchester United pip Norwegian side Kristiansund 1-0 as they continue their impressive preseason run.
The victory comes after 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur as the Red Devils made two changes in their starting XI with new arrivals David James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka listed.
Manchester United enjoyed large possession of the ball in the early stages of the game, but could not apply the final touch, thanks to a solid defence.
