- Linda didn't want to go into details about their relationship but said "Zodwa knows the truth"
- Wabantu confirmed the wedding was called off "for good" earlier this week
Although Ntobeko Linda has finally broken his silence around his and Zodwa Wabantu’s break-up, there are still many questions as to what had happened between the former couple.
Wabantu and Linda were supposed to tie the knot this past weekend but Briefly.co.za learnt earlier this week that the controversial entertainer had confirmed that the wedding was off “for good”.
The socialite also added that they had broken up about a month ago, hinting that her fame may have been the issue. Although Wabantu did admit that she hoped that closer to their wedding, that Linda would “fight” for her.
According to TshisaLive, when approached for comment, Linda said “Zodwa knows the truth” but refused to discuss their relationship any further.
Wabantu and Linda had been dating for about five years and but seemed to have separated several times in the build-up to their ‘wedding’.
The reality TV show host first hinted that there was trouble in paradise last month when she announced that the wedding was called off. She then backtracked her statement saying the wedding was back on again, even though she had not resolved the issues that initially gave her wedding jitters.
“I don’t know a lot of things but the one thing I know is that I do what I say I’ll do, I’m not the type to just back out of things. But, I know that if it is necessary I can always change my mind. We have a lot to talk about and we will be doing so when I see him,” Wabantu told TshisaLive on Monday.
Meanwhile, a day before Zodwa Wabantu confirmed that her wedding had been called off for good, Briefly.co.za also reported that the socialite, controversial dancer and reality TV show star had confirmed her wedding plans with fiancé, Ntobeko Linda, who is a professional photographer, were still on.
The controversial dancer told SowetanLive that she just needed some time to deal with emotional issues before she tied the knot.
