Honest man tracks down stranger, returns wallet full of money

- An honest man took to social media to track down the owner of lost goods

- He picked up a wallet with cash, cards and a driver's licence inside

- Before long, the lost possessions were returned to the rightful owner and the stranger's honesty inspired Mzansi

On Sunday, an honest man, who has been identified by his Twitter handle @Mashele_empire, shared a post in an attempt to track down the owner of a lost wallet.

The tweep revealed that he picked up a wallet with cash, cards and a driver's license inside at the Festival Mall in Kempton Park.

Briefly.co.za gathered a day after posting the tweet on the social media platform, @Mashele_empire found the owner.

"Hi everyone. Just to provide you with an update. I have found the owner through @Nedbank contact centre. He confirmed everything and his wife is gonna come and collect it at my work station because he is at work currently. His name is Cedric Tladi," he wrote in the update.

In another post, @Mashele_empire, shared photos of Ntate Tladi fetching his belongings. He revealed the grateful madala gave him R200 as a reward.

The posts sparked quite the reaction and Mzansi was inspired by @Mashele_empire's honesty.

Twitter user, @rosy_kbee, commented: "You have a good heart, more blessing are coming your way."
Ngwato M. Thobejane, Twitter user @TsipaA, added: "Good story to tell. This world needs people like you."
