A few months ago, Breakfast with Martin on Jacaranda FM decided to give someone the surgery of a lifetime. Martin Bester gave listeners the opportunity to enter a competition to win any type of surgery.

Barbara was one of the finalists and was in desperate need of a breast reduction. She says that she was bullied in school for being different and has never been happy with her appearance.

A tearful Barbara told the radio station that she would now be able to play with her children and that her entire life would change.

"I lost 22kg because I thought my breasts would also shrink."

Caring Daisies is the organisation that is to pay for Barbara's surgery.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that four-month-old Hollyn Pennington was given only a few months to live unless her parents came up with R400 000 for heart surgery. Her emotional story touched many South Africans, who pooled together to raise the required funds.
