Gigasi FM has seen two of its talented DJs walk away and join Metro FM. Sphectacula and Naves will be part of the line-up for Metro FM, from 2 August and Gigasi FM is not happy about this 'poaching'.
According to TimesLIVE, Gagasi FM is super-upset with the SABC after they 'poached' the radio station's 'Kings of the Weekend' - DJs Sphectacula and Naves.
They are moving from the radio station to Metro FM's drive-time slot between 3pm and 6pm and will start immediately on Friday, 2 August.
Gagasi FM has confirmed the resignation of the two on social media.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Sphectacula and Naves have signed contracts that were supposed to end in 2020.
The radio station has reportedly expressed their unhappiness with the SABC for going after their talent.
Gigasi had to say goodbye to breakfast host Mzokhona “Mzokoloko” Gumede earlier this year after Mzokoloko's move to Ukhozi FM - the station has reason to complain.
It seems that matters will not be left there - contracts have been broken.
"Gagasi FM has engaged with Sphectacula and Naves about the premature termination of their contracts, the contractual obligations thereof and their departure from the station."
