Roodt's claims that apartheid leader Hendrik Verwoerd 'never slighted' any racial of language group, adamant that he has read all the former leader's speeches.

Lesufi hasn't let this go unnoticed, announcing that Roodt will apologise to the nation for his comments.

The MEC demanded that evidence should be provided to substantiate these claims, claiming that Roodt will be taken 'to the cleaners', reports The Citizen.

Lesufi replied to Roodt’s tweet on Friday morning, tweeting he would take the author “to the cleaners”.
