Bonang Matheba has shared her opinion on why SA's football team, Bafana Bafana, doesn't score as many goals - she feels the team needs a coach who will stick with them on a long-term basis.
Stuart Baxter has thrown in the towel: After Bafana Bafana's poor performance at the 2019 Afcon tournament, Mzansi football fans called for Baxter to step down.
Briefly.co.za reported that Baxter decided to step down as the Bafana coach with immediate effect, and this is what Bonang Matheba feels is the reason the team is struggling.
According to the glitzy celeb, Bafana needs a coach who will stay. She took to Twitter to express why she feels the team isn't doing as good.
This opinion isn't Bonang's alone; many other social media users agreed with her. Here's what some of them had to say:
I agree. We need to stabilise as a team. Not this changing of coaches every other year. Hence we keep failing to win big tournaments.
Baxter should have stayed, but politics are destroying our national teams.
Wena you know soccer, this is so true
True and it puts a lot of pressure on the players
