Moja Love's content has been the topic of many discussions - Mzansi is divided between thinking the channel's programming is 'real' and feeling it's showing black people in a negative light.

Scoop Makhathini has recently called out the channel, and claims it is misleading black South Africans.

TimesLIVE reports that during a discussion with co-hosts on YouTube show POPcast, Scoop expressed his disapproval of the way Moja Love is representing black South Africans.

Scoop claims it all started with My Perfect Wedding and LoveBack.

"This all started with LoveBack and My Perfect Wedding where people were seen coming out of helicopters with dust everywhere in Hammanskraal. We don't need those kinds of things...
"And then now we have a channel called Moja Love, where everything has been taken a step lower. Instead of making content that builds the nation, it is dilapidating it."

Briefly.co.za gathered that Scoop also feels the SABC was failing to educate South Africans.

"We are at a stage where we need education and entertainment... everything is f**ked up in our society and the one place where we have an impact, television... I find it very whack that we only show one side of African black lives."

Moja Love has been on the defensive often lately, apologising for their talents' behaviour and distancing themselves from comments made by their stars.
