After a long court battle, Tumisho Masha and Zozibini Mtongana's divorce has been finalised. The couple, who was failed by Cupid, it seems, had a rough break-up three years ago and it is hoped things will be civil between them now.
Three years ago, Tumisho Masha and Zozibini Mtongana separated and a lengthy court battle followed.
On 2 August, their divorce was made final, and now it is hoped that the two will be able to keep things civil and co-parent their daughter. The actor and TV personality, Tomisho, confirmed the news.
"After a tumultuous three-year separation with Zozibini Mtongana, our divorce was made final on August 2."
The court battle was over assault allegations made against Masha by Mtongana, TimesLIVE reports.
In 2018, Masha was acquitted of the charges against him, which were laid in September 2016.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the now-divorced couple is committed to raising their daughter, 4, together.
Masha admitted he made some bad decisions but has learned from them, and is trying to be a better parent and partner.
"I got to a point where I just felt like if I'm not going to be trusted, why be trustworthy then? That was a big mistake on my part.
"I started to mess around a bit and it really didn't help the relationship."
Masha and his new love, Chantal, are living happily these days.
