It's not easy being a taxi driver, especially if passengers don't pay. A video emerged on social media showing a taxi driver going off at his passengers over a missing R1.

In the footage shared by Twitter user Phaskae1, the irate driver is seen raging for his missing money. He even threatens to turn the taxi around and take everyone back to the taxi rank.

In response, the passengers just stayed silent. Mzansi social media users were amused by the rant but sympathised with the poor man. Twitter user TsatsiKamokaHle said:

"It's not over just 'Ranta' but more about the principle I guess."

While Mokwenatau said:

"True, if 'Ranta' is nothing, why can't one of the passenger give it to him?"

Siphesihlemotha said:

"It's not about the R1, but principle and respect. That R1 is as important as getting them early to work, imagine if all trips were R1 short, how much's gonna be lost, this is business. Do you buy groceries short of a R1 from the total amount?"
