Busisiwe Mkhwebane, in the midst of professional turmoil, has called upon SA to work together. The Public Protector wants the nation to join her in achieving economic freedom.
The Public Protector has made a call to fellow citizens, urging them to join forces with her in order to obtain economic freedom.
Speaking to EWN, Mkhwebane asked that the country should remain focused, calling on SA to 'work together' to achieve this freedom.
When asked about the support that the EFF has rallied behind her, the Public Protector said that if the party wishes to defend the constitutional institution, then 'so be it', claiming that the party wishes to avoid the 'crisis' that she feels is imminent.
Briefly.co.za reported that Mkhwebane had been adamant that her legal battle with President Cyril Ramaphosa was a 'constitutional crisis' waiting to happen.
The Public Protector dubbed the controversy surrounding her reports and investigations as somewhat of a 'class war':
"When you deal with certain individuals of a certain colour or a certain standing it's different, they are exposing themselves. It’s bordering around those issues of race and class."
