The 2019 Miss South Africa is about to be crowned and Mzansi is buzzing. A fresh new judge has been added to the panel and it is none other than the bubbly TV and radio host, Anele Mdoda.

Miss SA 2019 has had its fair share of negativity, however, celebs like Bonang have kept the flag flying high. heard the exciting news that Anele will be joining the Miss SA 2019 panel of judges. Anele will be taking a seat next to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray, model Thando Hopa and the widely-loved Connie Ferguson.

The crowning will take place this Friday at Time Square in Pretoria, and will be hosted by Mzansi’s Queen B. M-Net and Mzansi Magic will be broadcasting the event live.

This is not the first time Anele will be sitting on the Miss SA judging panel, it’s actually her third. With some experience under her belt, Anele explained that her judging techniques will be slightly different this year.

According to Times Live, Anele is looking for some much more than just a pretty face. Acknowledging that being Miss SA is not a walk in the park, Anele will be looking for a lady who knows how to use all the blessings that her momma gave her- not just her looks.

Becoming Miss SA and even just being a part of the pageant gets you a lot of attention and Anele hopes that these women use that attention to create positive change.

Connie, on the other hand, is looking for a lady with a personality that exceeds her beauty. Pageant girls tend to be a little serious and Connie believes that being able to laugh at yourself is as important as your will to strive to make South Africa a better place.
