Former Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, and musician Flex Rabanyan got into a fiery discussion on social media over land. Rabanyan and Zille went toe-to-toe in this debate about South Africa.
It seems like Zille enjoys getting into controversial discussions on social media, and this time she and Rabanyan went into South Africa's food productivity.
According to TimesLIVE, the debate got started when a local tweep claimed that the land panel's proposals would see an erosion of the protection of property rights.
According to this tweep, the panel is entertaining 'Helen Zille thinking' - she challenged this.
"Sweetness, please give us your opinion on how you build the food-productivity and job-creation capacity of the land currently in black ownership. Thank you."
Rabanyan got involved at this point an threw a heap of sarcasm Zille's way:
Of course, Zille couldn't take that laying down and she responded by calling the muso's statement stupid.
Again, Rabanyan had something to say. Briefly.co.za gathered a series of tweets in which he shared his opinion.
