Photos are doing the rounds on social media showing an extravagant funeral service with a VIP area. The special area is apparently designated for VIP "chief mourners".

Twitter user Pholoho posted the pictures on social media with the caption:

"Chief Mourners (VIP) area for funerals looking nice. The area has personalised water, to mourn properly. Security tape, to keep the regular mourners out."

Mzansi social media users had mixed reactions about the post and about how funerals are being conducted of late. Twitter user KaliSpirit said:

"One funeral I was at they even had a jumping castle for the kids."

While Liyabona_booi said:

"VIP section at a funeral?? The gravesite?? When did we get here? I- I just..."

Nhlakaniphxcele said:

"Jonga. My funeral plan will definitely have this included."

Ramalokot said:

"Black people how did we arrive here? I will listen on the radio."
