'Your scars are beautiful': Local woman's inspiring message to Mzansi

Having scars can really break down a person's confidence and make them shy about the way they look. One lady, however, is wearing her scars proudly and says it shows that she is healing.

'Your scars are beautiful.' - These are not words that are often heard by people who need to hear it most.

Being scared for whatever reason leaves most people feeling very self-conscience and shy, but one local woman is standing proud - showing off her scars.

The brave young woman took to Twitter to say that her scars show that she's healing and she's serving as an inspiration to others with her beautifully positive attitude.

The woman, identified as Twitter user @MimoMokgosi, has left her followers in awe with how much love she's showing herself.

Briefly.co.za gathered from her social media account that @MimoMokgosi's a true survivor. Here's what she says she's been through since 2013:

  • 2013 - LiverTransplant Surgery
  • 2014 - Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography - Bile Obstruction
  • 2015 - Lymph Node Obstruction
  • 2016 - Bone Marrow Test Procedure
  • 2017 - Bile Obstruction
  • 2018 - Cyst Removal, Stent Removal
  • 2019 - Lumpectomy Surgery
