Top Mzansi musician, Lira, shared some amazing news with her fans and followers recently.
The South African celeb is the first African star to have her very own Barbie doll made in her image.
The ‘Lira doll’ was made as part of Barbie’s 60th anniversary celebration, Jacaranda FM reported.
The goal is to inspire more girls, with a more diverse selection of Barbie dolls.
Apparently, Lira was most concerned about how the doll’s hair would come out, but the production team at Barbie didn’t disappoint.
"I was so worried about her hair - but now she is perfect … "The team worked extremely hard to make my doll - and this is the highest honour Barbie could give someone." Lira gushed.
Briefly.co.za found out that the star was completely amazed when Barbie approached her about making the doll.
"They gave me a call and I couldn't believe it," Lira said.
Lira hopes to inspire girls around the world with her limited-edition Barbie doll.
“I am the very first African to be bestowed with this honour and I’m simply thrilled to be honoured in this way,” Lira said.
