The story of a young man from India who threw a tantrum over his birthday gift is trending online. The unidentified man had reportedly pushed a gift worth R750 000 into a river because he did not get what he wanted.
According to BBC, the young man received a BMW as a birthday present from his parents, but because he wanted a Jaguar, he threw a tantrum and pushed the brand-new gift into a river.
A video posted online showed the expensive birthday gift floating away in the river. It was later gathered that the car got stuck in a bank of tall grass.
It also gathered that the young man was later seen trying to get the car out of the river with the help of local divers.
A police spokesman told IANS that the young man also made a video of the car floating after he pushed it in. "When the youth was plunging the high-end BMW car into the river, he also made a video and put it on social media."
