South African social media users have shared pictures of their glow-ups. These are specifically pictures from primary school to current ones and compared how they've turned out.

Twitter user CBoujee started off the trend by sharing her own pictures and encouraged others to join her, saying:

"Primary picture thread! Lemme see how y’all turned out."

The tweet has over 400 retweets and 6 000 likes with many other sharing their snaps. Twitter user Michelle Msami shared her pictures with the caption:

"I don’t know why I was wearing grasshoppers with a netball kit, but my hairline never loved me, I don’t even remember what award this was, but I still have the medal."

Cartierheartbrk also shared his two pictures, commenting that he pretty much looked the same.

MhlamvuSfundo expressed some concern over the picture, saying:

"Why is everybody's skin getting lighter as they grow up. I'm getting darker and darker."

To which Thandokhumalo19 responded:

"Lol I was asking myself the same. Probably camera."

Others said it was likely the use of skin-lightening creams.

Either way, the people of Mzansi seem to have all glowed up beautifully.
