Iconic TV personality, Basetsana Kumalo, has lived a full and interesting life and decided to document and share it with the rest of the world. Her memoirs, Bassie: My Journey of Hope, will be released later this year.
One of Mzansi's most-loved TV personalities, Basetsana Kumalo, has penned down her life in a book.
The memoirs, titled Bassie: My Journey of Hope, tells the story of her rise to fame, starting with her days after winning Miss SA in 1994.
Since then, Basetsana has achieved many greats and is considered a media mogul.
The book is set to be released in October, according to SowetanLIVE.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the book will also reveal details about Bassie's marriage to Romeo Kumalo, as well as her relationships with the likes of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Graça Machel and Nelson Mandela.
Furthermore, readers will learn about the celeb's alleged abuse and the stalker who harassed her for many years.
Basetsana says the book was the most important project she's ever taken on.
"It is not one of the important projects of my life. It is the most important project of my life.
"I laughed, I cried, I reflected, I counted my blessings, I am standing in the light of my own truth.
"I didn't want to rush my memoir and write it too early on in my life. I am glad I didn't because I have lived so much more. I lost my parents on this life journey, some of my businesses have failed, and I just wanted my book to just be an honest and candid account of my life."
