Hong Kong has been plagued with violent protests for the past 10 weeks now and a South African lady who lives there has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
The unidentified woman was photographed kneeling down in front of riot police who fired tear gas at protesters over the weekend.
The lady then spoke to journalist and it was revealed that she immigrated to Hong Kong from South Africa.
The sobbing woman said she moved to Hong Kong because she escaped protests in SA.
The video has since gone viral, reaching over two million views and South Africans are not happy at all.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Mzansi social media users slammed the woman for throwing shade at South Africa and they dubbed her "entitled" and "embarrassing."
Twitter user, @Chi_Chiboya, commented: "How ignorant?!?! OMG ship her off to Australia or the Netherlands!"
Zackie Achmat, who goes by the Twitter handle @ZackieAchmat, added: "We don’t want you to come home. Support #HongKongProtests."
Another tweep, @justkevluv, commented: "And this, ladies and gents, is the self entitlement that black South Africans deal with on the daily. This lady has taken a national struggle and made it about herself."
