Spar takes staff members' kids to movies to honour their mothers

- A Western Cape Spar branch took the children of their female staff members to the cinema

- They did this to show appreciation to their mothers in Women's Month

Cinnamon Square Spar took their staff members' kids to watch a movie to treat their hardworking mothers. The store wanted to express their appreciation for what the ladies do for them.

Cinnamon Square Spar took the children to watch The Lion King. For many of the kids, it was their first time in a cinema. The event also happened to fall on International Lion’s Day and gave them a chance to appreciate the majestic animal.

Mzansi social media users were impressed by the store's kind act. Facebook user Reinette Borthwick said:

"Well done my favourite Spar!!"

While Jackie Martin said:

"Wow, this is a great gesture to celebrate the women working for you."

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Brett Nash had an extra special birthday as his friends at the local Spar at Retail Crossing helped him celebrate and presented him with an exciting surprise, leaving the young man overjoyed. His mother, Tammy Nash, shared a heart-warming video to social media of the employees at their local Spar welcoming Brett into the store where he had a beautifully-wrapped present waiting for him and a delicious cake with Happy Birthday Brett written on it. The staff members all chipped in to make Brett’s birthday special and the look of pure joy on his face shows it worked perfectly.
