Mzansi’s freshly-crowned Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi has received a lot of positive attention for her uniqueness and individuality. DJ Cleo expressed his love for Tunzi’s all-natural hair and got a bit of backlash for it.

Being crowned Miss SA comes with a lot of responsibility and requires one to grow a thick skin and fast. Tunzi still has a lot to learn but she seems feisty enough to deal with it, and that is exactly why she is our new Miss SA. learnt that DJ Cleo got shaded a bit when he took to social media to express how lit he thinks Tunzi’s hairstyle is and what an inspiration she has become.

DJ Cleo thought that it was really awesome that a girl with a street-side haircut won over those with them lush wigs and weaves. Cleo labelled Tunzi an “ambassador for African beauty”.

Well, Cleo’s followers were on him like white on rice. Some of his followers felt that Cleo was being shallow for thinking that the price of Tunzi’s haircut had anything to do with her glory; they clearly missed the point.

In defence of his perfectly positive post, Cleo too to social media to let the haters know that they were totally out of line.
