Mzansi actress and businesswoman, Khanyi Mbau, is back on TV screens and fans couldn't be happier. Khanyi returned to her role as Dinekile on SABC 1's Uzalo.
Media personality, Khanyi Mbau, has returned to her role as Dinekile on the SABC 1 soapie Uzalo, leaving fans very happy.
The actress received a warm welcome on her Twitter page last night by both her loyal and new fans.
The actress really knows how to rock her character on Uzalo. Some of her followers who don’t normally watch the soapie even admitted to only tuning in because they saw that Khanyi was back on the show.
According to ZAlebs, Khanyi was first head-hunted for the role in 2018 and was initially only to play a short-term part. But the producers loved how she perfected the character and so planned to bring her back at later seasons of the show.
Khanyi’s plays Dinekile, aka Lady Die, who is a sexy deranged cousin to MaNgcobo (played by Dawn Thandeka King). Dinekile aspires to live the fancy life of her cousin but couldn’t, despite her good looks. She also served some time behind bars for petty crimes she committed. She has a smart streetwise sense and knows how to carry herself in the underworld.
Khanyi shared how she and her character, Dinekile, had similar characteristics in an interview with Drum magazine.
“It’s exactly me. Lady Die is a go-getter like Khanyi. We both have big dreams. We both love the adrenalin rush and see the world as an oyster. The difference is that Khanyi is a grown up but Lady Die doesn’t seem like someone who will grow up any time soon. Another difference is that Khanyi is not a friend of crime like Lady Die.”
Just over a week ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Khanyi Mbau has been creamed for her skin lightning ways since the very first day she started doing it. Doing a #GlowUp post about herself was not the smartest move.
The Mzansi actress and media personality is no stranger to controversy. Khanyi lives a life of luxury and really doesn’t care what people think of her. Briefly.co.za learnt that Khanyi struck a match and threw it at her own house when she posted a #GlowUp comparison post of herself on social media.
Khanyi’s love for skin-lightening is no secret. Your gurl went from dark chocolate to caramel and there ain’t no hiding that.
Taking to social media, Khanyi posted snaps of herself before the skin lightening, besides some more recent and lighter ones. This is not your typical #GlowUp post fo sho.
