A man, who has been identified as Sibonelo Zulu, took to social media on Monday to post a photo of himself holding 'R9 million'.
The image showed Zulu, who, according to his Twitter page, works for the marketing department of BMW, holding five car keys.
"Amazing how R9 million fits into one hand," he captioned the photo.
South Africans were stunned by the fact that only five cars cost a whopping R9 million and some were even impressed by the post.
Social media user, @Kgosietsile_012, commented: "Goes to show how insane new car prices are."
Another tweep, @mahlatse_ww, added: "I’m trying to be like this."
Nelisiwe Mazibuko, who goes by the Twitter handle @nelzblue, commented: "Oh wow cars are expensive mos."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that a man hilariously detailed how he tried to swipe his card for cars worth R28 million even though he could not afford them.
The post went viral and South Africans dubbed him a hero.
