Legendary boxer Mike Tyson is undoubtedly one of the richest people in the world. He can even afford R600k worth of cannabis to smoke in a month.

Renowned boxing legend, Mike Tyson, made a lot of money from his boxing career, acting in movies and other investments.

Well, Tyson who is a cannabis advocate recently revealed through a podcast that he spends more than R600 000 on the substance.

Cannabis has become a widespread business worldwide, end even now is South Africa too, since it was officially legalised last year.

While speaking with his fellow advocates Eben Britton and Jim Jones on his latest podcasts, Hot Boxin, Tyson said they spend over N14 million a month on cannabis.

“What do we smoke a month? It’s about $40,000?” Tyson asked during the podcast.

“We smoke ten tons of weed on the ranch a month,” Britton added.

The revelation came quite as a shocker to quite a number of people especially those from developing countries.

It should be noted Tyson is an ardent cannabis investor and campaigner who has been on the forefront fighting for legalisation of medical cannabis in American States that have criminalised the substance.

The retired boxer owns a ranch in California which produces all sorts of cannabis products.

Meanwhile, in a related cannabis story, Briefly.co.za previously gathered the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), intercepted 1,682 parcels of cannabis sativa (hemp) worth over N25,290,000 (that's approximately R1 062 180) and concealed in a dead body and a truck.

The Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the command, Comptroller Mohammed Garba, said that the banned substance was smuggled into Nigeria through the border.
