Briefly.co.za gathered that the singer has been through some serious downs before his career bounced back this year.

He was accused of getting physical with a woman in Hillbrow but the case was dropped. However, he feared that the incident would ruin his career.

"It was hard. People were saying all kinds of things about me. I didn't have many gigs and I wasn't going out much. I knew that I needed to be in the public eye to rebuild my career but all I wanted to do was sit at home and record or sing. That is all I have ever wanted to do."

Well, it looks like things are back on track and going really well for Mthokozisi.
