This season, Lorch has been conspicuous by his absence once again but coach Milutin Sredojevic was quick to shed light on the matter.

He said, “After the Carling Cup we played a friendly match against Simba of Tanzania and in one moment when we could see that he felt an injury we pulled him out as a precautionary measure.”

TimesLIVE reported that Lorch has since been nurtured back slowly based on the advice of medical staff.

Some Pirates supporters questioned why Lorch failed to start midweek against SuperSport United.

Sredojevic touched on this when he said, “So any question as to why he was on the bench‚ or whatever‚ the simple answer is: his present state allowed him to have exactly the amount of minutes that he had.”

Briefly.co.za understands that the attacking ace will feature on Saturday as the Buccaneers face Highlands Park in the MTN8 competition.
