A local mom who lived in a mud house with her children and worked in fields to help them get proper education, has recently seen that she also raised them to care. They built her a new home.
During Women's Month, the focus is squarely on the mothers who sacrifice everything (and more) just to give their children better lives.
One such mom is MaMngoma Shozi from Hammarsdale and a social media user thought it was time that Mzansi sees what a wonderful mother she is and what amazing children she raised.
Twitter user Senamile Masango shared a tweet in which she tells us about MaMngoma who was a fieldworker and lived in a mud house with her children.
Today, MaMngoma's children are educated and successful in life - the thing she most likely dreamt of all her life.
On top of that, the children decided to treat her and build her a new home.
Briefly.co.za was deeply touched by MaMngoma's story and how she raised children who won't hesitate to show her love and appreciation.
Other tweeps were also moved by this example of greatness. Here's what some of them had to say:
The look of powerful creations proud to be a black woman because of such creations
May God stretch forth His mighty Hand to touch, rejuvenate, embrace, comfort and make new every organ, limb and bone in her.
Brilliant! MaMngoma Shozi has been incredibly successful, and deserves the highest praise and admiration. She should be treated like Royalty, for the rest of her life! Her children are indeed blessed to have had MaMngoma as their Mum.
An absolute legend...beautiful strong woman like this are the fabric of society. Wishing you health and happiness. Thank you
Her greatest achievement is not producing a pharmacist, engineer or lawyer, but children who care. Enjoy the house, and the family, mama MaMngoma
