Officer Mbalula: Mzansi reacts to clip of Fikile arresting taxi driver

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula recently donned a fluorescent jacket and joined forces with traffic officers in a roadblock. Mbalula shared a clip of his interactions with the passengers after the driver was hauled off in cuffs, and Mzansi had a lot to say.

Fikile Mbalula recently took to social media to show the nation how he took part in a recent roadblock in Tshwane.

During the exercise, a taxi driver was nabbed for trying to bribe one of the traffic officers on duty.

In the clip, Mbalula can be seen sharing a light-hearted moment with the passengers of the taxi, who had been left driver-less.

Briefly.co.za reported that Mbalula had been giving Gauteng motorists a taste of the new AARTO rules, which have been signed into law by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Citizens were impressed with the minister's language skills, which were on full display, while others applauded him for being active in his portfolio.

Numerous comments were made on Mbalula's R50 000 payment from Ramaphosa's CR17 campaign, asking how he could take the driver to task when he himself was 'bribeble'.
