Mzansi was not impressed with Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s singing Ed Sheeran’s Perfect at the weekend.

The “Bonnie and Clyde” of Mzansi butchered the song. The video was shared on social media and users felt ill to their stomachs watching it.

Not only did the pair, mostly Mampintsha, hit all the wrong notes of the hit song, he also shocked us with his singing voice, and worse mistook the talented Sheeran for Stevie Wonder.

Mzansi social media users roasted the pair on Twitter for the singing and their lack of knowledge of the lyrics.

Those who weighed in on the post included EFF spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. He laughed about the “Stevie Wonder” shout-out.

Some commented that the “Stevie Wonder” shout-out was in reference to Babes being completely “blinded by love”.

Here are some of the reactions from tweeps.

Meanwhile, three days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Mampintsha Shimora had spoken out in support of his Gqom singer and dancer girlfriend, Babes Wodumo, after she was dragged on social media for allegedly mocking Lady Zamar for her acne.

The video shows a woman poking fun at singer, Lady Zamar’s acne during her appearance on the reality TV music competition, Idols SA.

Social media users automatically linked Babes to the video but she denied it was her, claiming her Twitter account had been hacked.
