"My daughter has 15 classmates in her kindergarten class. ACTIVITY FEE ON ME! During orientation I didn't see 1 father...this is my gift to the kids and all those single moms. plus gave the teacher a 100 because it's not easy dealing with kids 5-6," McCoy said.

Social media users were inspired by McCoy's kind gesture and they applauded him in the comment section.

Tia Will, who goes by the Twitter handle @medwoman1, commented: "I will never know you personally, sir. But I do want to thank you personally for your understanding and generosity. We need far more people like you. And thanks also to SG for calling him out for his contribution."
Another tweep, @Sullivan_J_A, added: "Wow-This parent is a real gem! This was such a generous and kind act! I can tell you that when teachers ask for financial help with these activities, not every family can or wants to contribute. Even with 100% participation, the teacher still ends up picking up a lot of the cost."
