A social media user, Pearl Pillay, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share an amazing achievement in her life with Mzansi.
Because of Pillay, her 72-year-old grandmother has running hot water for the first time in her life, Briefly.co.za gathered.
"I'm feeling a feeling. I've been saving up money so that I could pay for a geyser to be installed at my grandmother's home, the home I grew up in. It happened this weekend, and for the first time in her 72 years of life, my ma lives in a house with running hot water," she said.
South Africans were inspired by her story and they praised Pillay for looking out for her gogo.
Khulekani Magubane, who goes by the Twitter handle @KhulekaniMag, commented: "Brown babies feeding their guardians the fruit of their love and work. Now this is a feeling!"
Another tweep, @taahira_k, added: "Pearl, I am not crying, you are a wonderful human!"
Sureshnie Rieder, @Sureshnie, wrote: "What a special moment that must have been!!! Good on you."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported a lady secretly built her parents a home. She went on to surprise them with the new house on her dad's birthday and the story inspired South Africans.
