For the past 10 years now, Barcelona superstar and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo are arguably the best players as far as the game of football is concerned considering their records.
These two players have won the Ballon D'Or award five times each and they have also lifted many trophies with their respective clubs.
However, it must be noted that the only trophy these two football legend have not won in common is the World Cup and they may not win it before they hang their boots.
The 2018 World Cup in Russia would have been the perfect place for either Ronaldo or Messi to win the title, but they both failed to steer their countries to the final of the championship.
Fans of these two football greats have for years been involved in serious arguments and debates on who is better and even football pundits are not left out of the talks.
According to the latest report on UK Mirror, computer scientists from Belgian KU Leuven university came up with a formula to analyse the two great rivals, and came up with a clear winner.
The report added that the computer scientists come up with something called Valuing Actions by Estimating Probabilities (VAEP) which gave them the answer on who is better between Ronaldo and Messi.
They looked into all the games these two players have played and all they do on the pitch in both attacking and defensive roles.
And after feeding the results through their supercomputer, they came out with the final conclusion that Lionel Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lionel Messi comes out with a VAEP score of 1.21 per game which is much higher than Ronaldo's 0.61.
