Online shopping can be great - sitting in the comfort of your own home, sipping on a glass of wine while browsing several stores. Sounds perfect, right?

Well, not always. Sometimes, the online stores sell counterfeit versions of the real-deal and the products end up looking nothing like the item you bought.

A man took to social media to share a photo of what he ordered for his girlfriend online versus what he got - and South Africans were amused.

Social media user, @APEXworld_, posted snaps of the item he bought for his girlfriend versus the kicks that he received.

"I ordered this online for my girlfriend," @APEXworld_ captioned the image of the product he bought.

He then shared a photo of what he received and wrote: "This is what I got," with crying emojis.

South Africans were amused by the post and they decided to poke fun at him. Some joked that the problem might be with his camera and that he should try looking at it in the sun.
