A proudly South African moment will soon be playing out on television screens around the world.
Charlize Theron is the producer of Hyperdrive, a new reality car show featured on Netflix.
The show aired on Wednesday and has since released its second trailer, this time featuring South Africa’s ‘Spinning Queen’ Stacey-Lee May.
May spins the tyres of her BMW 3 series with the greatest of ease and even leans out with most of her body protruding.
In the clip, Theron is visibly impressed with May as she looks on from afar.
The real magic happens when Theron is invited inside the car for a spin and all hell breaks loose.
The 20-year-old driver causes Theron to sit on the edge of her seat as she swiftly glides across the track.
IOL reported that Hyperdirve is set around an abandoned industrial complex and will see street racers from around the world compete against each other.
Briefly.co.za understands that some have already referred to the show as the real version of Fast & Furious.
