The sad reality in South Africa is that many are either unemployed or they have jobs that pay next to nothing.

This has led to families having to rely on grants or surviving on a ridiculously small salary. A man, Sipho Ramaru, took to social media on Thursday to share the plight of his friend.

"A friend I met just a year ago showed me his payslip today. His Net doesn't even reach R3000. He's a family man with two kids," the post started out.

Ramaru called on Mzansi to help him find his friend another job.

Thabo Malete, who goes by the Twitter handle @ThaboFresh, commented: "I wonder were are those who campaigned for Cyril promising people better future when all we got is unemployment. The amount of responsibility we carry of providing for our immediate families, siblings and parents is unbearable but we're left with no choice but to keep on grinding."
Khayelihle Khumalo, @KhayaJames, added: "Crime against humanity."

Other social media users were quick to send Ramaru advertisements and posts about job openings with the hope of helping his friend.

One man even revealed he can help with a better job.
