The government will soon publish a special paper that will outline the plans for power utility Eskom's future. According to the Public Enterprises Ministry, the paper will be a roadmap to how Eskom will be sustained on a long-term basis.
Eskom's troubles are not news to South Africans - everyone is aware that the power utility is struggling to Keep itself standing.
The government will publish a special paper on Eskom that will make clear the plans that will help the utility return to a sustainable path, reports IOL News.
The Public Enterprises Ministry hopes to put Eskom on that road within the next few weeks.
"This paper will reflect the urgent work that is taking place to identify options to resolve the debt challenge, the process for restructuring Eskom and importantly, to ensure a just transition."
The plan is to restructure Eskom, as per recommended by President Ramaphosa's Sustainability Task Team.
