EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi was among those who have commented on Watson's death, has gathered.

"Gavin Watson's death comes only a week after Barry Eugene Farber, founder of the law firm (Edelstein Farber Grobler) into whose ABSA bank account Bosasa deposited R500 000 donation from its boss Gavin Watson for the CR17 camping also died, mysteriously, in his sleep," Ndlzo posted.

Ndlozi's implication that foul play may have been involved was echoed by EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu.

"Gavin Watson? The Rogue Unit has started!" Shivambu tweeted.

Details are still emerging, however, and their suggestions are not yet supported by any evidence.
