Zahara opens up about her views on being 'called as a prophet'

Zahara has been informed by a prophet that it is her calling to be one too in 2020. However, the singer finds it a bit strange and wonders why the prophet would use the media to convey the message to her.

The Daily Sun reported on 23 August that prophet Dipuo Mokgatho had a dream about multi-award winning singer, Zahara.

According to this dream, Zahara is meant to follow a road as a prophet, and become one in 2020.

"I want her to know 2020 is the year God has set aside for her to become a prophet.
"This is because 20 plus 20 equals 40, and Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights before he began his work."

However, the singer isn't that easily convinced. She's currently on tour in the UK, so can't meet with Mokgatho to discuss the dream she had.

TimesLIVE reports that Zahara has shut down this calling though, because she's just too busy for it.

"I didn't know about this calling that I apparently have. I just came back from America and Canada and I am touring the UK at the moment, so I have been too busy to pay it any attention."

Furthermore, Briefly.co.za gathered that the singer finds it all a bit odd

"I don't know anything about it. I have not received any message like this before and it is a bit strange."

It doesn't look like Zahara will be going down that spiritual road any time soon, and she can't help but find it odd that the prophet would use the media to let her know about her so-called calling.

"Why go through the media? I mean, she could have reached out to my management or just tried to speak to me. I know she said she had tried once but if it serious, I will make time for it."
