SA kids created the shoes Ndlovu Choir wore on America’s Got Talent

- The Ndlovu Youth Choir have captured the hearts of the world thanks to their outstanding performances on the America’s Got Talent show

- The choir rocked the stage with a local footwear brand named Ama Tekkie

- Ama Tekkie worked in partnership with a local primary school to have each pair painted and signed by a learner at the school

The team made a stellar impact as they got the judges up and dancing with their initial audition. also reported on how the choir qualified for the semi-finals of the America’s Got Talent (AGT) competition.

The choir has recently formed a special combination with new footwear manufacturer, Ama Tekkie.

Daniell Barnard spoke on behalf of Ama Tekkie and explained why there so so excited to work with the authentic music group.

He said, “When we saw the choir’s first audition online we were so inspired and immediately realised that our style perfectly matched with theirs.”

The Ama Tekkie crew were so captured by the choir’s story that they decided to send each member a pair of shoes to wear off stage.

Good Things Guy reported that something sparked and eventually Ama Tekkies were on board to design the shoe that the band would wear for their next performance.

The brand took one of their existing designs, but then customised it for the choir.

They teamed up with learners at Worcester Primary School, who volunteered to paint each tekkie individually to match the outfits that would be worn.

Their special contribution was rounded off with a beautiful touch as each pupil included a short letter to wish the choir well and also wrote their names inside each tekkie.

The kids’ catchy slogan summed it up perfectly - “you’ll be in our hearts, and we’ll be on your feet.”

Showing their gratitude, the choir members combined for a short video as they thanked the students with a lovely song.
