TS Galaxy became darlings of South African football after their Nedbank Cup heroics last season.

Their victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the final ensured they became the first lower division club to claim the prize.

However, coach Dan Malesela and his charges are proving their success was not a fluke with continued success thus far.

Their Nedbank triumph secured their entry into the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers.

Briefly.co.za gathered that their first taste of continental football was a resounding success as they defeated St Louis from the Seychelles.

Thero Setsile struck to secure the 1-0 victory and the tie finished 2-0 on aggregate.

SowetanLIVE reported that Galaxy will now face CNaPS of Madagascar in the second round, while Bidvest Wits come up against Young Buffaloes.

Malesela’s stock has risen once again after many realised what an underrated coach he is.

Through the support of owner Tim Sukazi, Malesela has formed a formidable unit.

The rockets now hope to mirror the efforts of SuperSport United in 2017 when they reached the final of the Confederation Cup.
